reader, anonymous, writes (20 April 2009): Sorry to hear your dilemma, but it is a common one sadly. What a cad to dump you for your best friend, and some friend who steals your bf! I would wash my hands of both of them if I were you.I know breaking up with someone is very painful, and it is good to talk to someone about how you are feeling, whether it be a (real) friend, a parent or a therapist, because it is easy to go off the deep end if you don't have support. Trust me, I'm trying to get over a love that was one sided, and I know the deep pain and sadness you are feeling, but it will go away if you move on with your life. If you stay in contact with these people however, it will be very difficult to let it go.
