Lola1 agony auntWOW! Sounds very abusive and I am sorry that you've had to endure it.

I'm not sure why people or which people are taking "the piss out of you for it", but have you considered ending the relationship?

If the girl who punched you wants him and he doesn't seem to respect you, why not let them have each other? They sound like they deserve each other and you deserve better.

Stick in there - high school gets better. ;-)

Good luck!

First of all, make sure you have nothing else to do with this guy. He is not worthy of you at all. Secondly, given that he was cheating on you and you had sex with him, if you did not use a condom, it might be worth getting an STI test to make sure you're okay.

Next, spitting and punching is assault, so don't be afraid to talk to either a teacher or your parent. Please don't suffer silently. You don't have to. Also, since you're on antidepressents, maybe speak to a couseller? They'll help you get your self esteem back on track a bit.

Lots of luck. xx

A female reader, anonymous, writes (21 September 2009):

You have to realise that these people are just morons, no one should be treated like that, especially not someone like you who hasn't done anything wrong. I was bullied a lot at school and it's affecting a lot of my life now, don't let it beat you, just accept that the guy was an idiot and the people who are bullying you aren't any better, they just pick on something about you to make themselves feel better and they aren't worth your time. Do you have any friends, and how is your relationship with your family? Try to focus on the good, bad things happen to good people unfortunately and there's nothing we can do about that, you just have to not let it get the best of you.
