writes: Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex on saturday night,, eventhough he didnt ejaculate in me im concerned i could become pregnant as im only on my first packet of logynon contreceptive pills. Along from this i had sickness and diarhea on monday- tuesday and i know this doesnt mean the pill will work. Im concerned about what will happen,, is there a likely chance i could become pregnant. HELP!!!

reader, anonymous, writes (9 February 2010): Having unprotected sex could definitely mean becoming pregnant; especially if you were ovulating at the time. But seeing as he didn't ejaculate inside of you AND you're on birth control, it's rather unlikely. The illness and diarrhea could just be a terrible coincidence: Did you eat any food that's gone bad recently? The illness could also be a result of stress. Isn't it great how the female body works? We stress about the possibility of being pregnant and that makes our period even more late which results in even more stress. Gotta love it...
The pregnancy test might not be accurate just yet (it's too early to tell). I suggest that if your period IS late by two or three days, I would take a home pregnancy test. That's the ONLY way to know without your parents finding anything out.

There is a very small chance. It's too late for the morning after pill, so it might be worth going to the doctor and getting checked.
