A female United Kingdom age 26-29, *andyCurves writes:

Basically, what do you do when your best friend fancies your "ex". I have a history with this guy. She doesnt know I had anything going on so I cant tell her no or anything. Ive only started getting over this guy. I dont know if hes doing this to annoy me, both way its working. My friend keeps telling me every little detail they get up to and its eating my insides away. I dont think he even likes her like that, cause I know what he likes. Its very strange, like when theyre together and everything. Very Awkward.

What can I do, or can I not do anything( totally powerless)??? Please help me , because Im finding it depressing. Thanks

pancakes rule agony auntThe only thing you can do is tell her. She should understand and back off, but of if the two of them really like each other, don't think that you can stop them ever going out.

Ultimately, all you can do is get over this guy and try to be happy for your friend.

If he doesn't like her, tell her in a nice way that that is your opinion, but she will be upset, although I think it's better that you be a good friend and try to stop her from getting hurt.

If she still ends up being hurt by him, support her.

I can understand if you feel hurt or annoyed by her, but be a good friend to her and she should do the same for you in turn when you need it.

good luck

xx
