 I think you may need to go to a dr about the hurting on top thing-- there could be something to it--- or maybe you are just so tense you are causing your own pain. Make him sit still and tell him you are going to try, but it has to be slow... he won't complain... lol.
Use a good lube...
About the oral part--- change it up--- it can be gross (i would never tell my guy that, but every girl knows it!)
Do it in the shower after you have scrubbed each other clean... give him a 2 minute coupon and stick to two minutes, so you aren't expected to finish him... Make him agree ahead of time or just jump on him after two minutes and finish the old fashioned way. :)
Or you can use a flavored condom-- they make these for just such issues... or use seran wrap (or a ziplock bag)--- clean--- you taste nothing, but he gets all the pleasure... (Let me know how it goes)

 I would say it is as normal as you don't like it. If you don't like it you shouldn't do it.
But if you are willing to keep trying to be on top it will quit hurting and you will enjoy it.
As far as oral it is not for everybody.
