Question - (19 August 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 19 August 2008)
A male United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Hey Aunts and Uncles. Sorry if this is a bit long but i want to give all the details. I'm a 19 year old guy from the UK and until recently, about 7 weeks ago, i had a girlfriend, let's call her Anne. She said that she needed some time to sort things out in her life and that being in a relationship wouldn't help. She said she still loved me but made it clear that there was a high possibility we wouldn't get back together and said that I should get on with my life, which i took to mean the relationship was over.

After about 2 weeks of not having any contact with Anne, i began spending more time with one of my friends from college who I hadn't seen in a while because we both had girlfriends and were spending a lot of time with them. Anyway, because of seeing my friend a lot more, i also got to see his sister a lot more, let's call her Elle. She is a year younger than us and, i might say, quite a hottie. I think you see where i'm going with this. I had known her since i first made friends with this guy 8 years ago and so had watched her grow up from a girl of 10 into a beautiful attractive young woman. We started hanging out together and I began visiting not to see my friend but to see her, often going over when he wasn't even there. We flirted a lot and she seemed interested in me, so one day when she was watching television i sat next to her and let my hand rest next to her leg.

Now at this point i went out on a hunch and brushed her bare leg. She reacted instantly, shifting to let me rest my hand on her thigh and I was jumping up and down inside, my heart beating fast. To cut a long, hot and passionate story short, we ended up making out and she copped a feel of my package, making a dirty comment and then leaving. We kept having encounters like this for the next couple of weeks and eventually we had the relationship talk. She strongly hinted that she wanted a relationship but I didnt ask at the time because it was cut short. Here comes the problem. My ex, Anne, comes back to me and says she wants to pick up where we left off. I literally didn't know what to say. I had been with Anne for 5 months before we broke up and still had feelings for her, but when she came to me I didn't feel the same as before. I was still a bit sore about her breaking it off and I was really keen on starting a relationship with Elle, so I told Anne I was seeing someone else, which was partly true.

Anne got really mad and started to cry, asking me how i'd gotten over her so quickly, why i was seeing someone else and how serious it was. She was acting as though i had cheated on her when she had made it clear the relationship had ended. She said she still loved me and cared for me, we ended up kissing. I comforted her and told her that it wasn't official and it was only a few encounters. That was yesterday. I haven't spoken to either since but they have tried talking to me. I don't know what to do. I still have strong feelings from my ex because we broke up with both of us still loving each other, but I really enjoy the time I spend with Elle and it's not just because of the physical side of it. I don't know who to chose and its driving me crazy. I can't find a stronger side for either one. My head tells me to go back with Anne because we have history and there are still feelings, but my heart tells me to go with Elle because it feels more 'right' with her and I've spent so much time with her lately. What do I do!?

Thanks for any help :)
