Hello everyone :)

some advice would be much appreciated thanks. my girlfriend and I believe we are ready to get intimate and use toys etc however were wondering about the health risks of sharing toys. I mean we have both had sex ed at school but they never cover same sex relationships (why they don't is a mystery) so we were wondering if any STDs or other nasties could occur. (FYI we are both virgins so have no STDs at the moment) sorry if this is a silly question or we sound stupid, we just want to be safe. thanks in advance for any replies

much love to all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A male reader, anonymous, writes (22 July 2010):

If you're both healthy then the act of sharing toys shouldn't be an issue, and it would be likely that the primary risk would be using dirty toys. Make sure you clean the toys well (per manf instructions), store them properly and avoid cheap toys made of mystery materials... some toys are really bad, and can grow all kinds of nasty stuff. Buy quality, and keep them clean!

Moo's Mum agony auntI'm 99% sure there is no problem with sharing toys when there are no STD's on either side. If you think about it us straighies "Share" equipment with minimal problems if you know what I mean :-) However I would ensure that you wash everything well after using.
