A female United States age 26-29, *ilynicole writes:

I'm having troubles with my boyfriend of 2 months. I'm 16, he's 17. He's pretty popular at his school and drinks, smokes and parties nearly every night. I'm not as social as I use to be about a year ago due to switching to a small private school where I only hangout with the like one friend everyone know and then. I'm switching to my original public school next year in hopes of a better social life. I drink smoke and do all that stuff to but not at parties yet. At the beginning he always asked me to come with him while he went out and I did a couple times, but lately it's like he just ditches me for them. Says he just wants to chill that night then tells me the next day about the party he went to. I guess what bothers me is A. I'm home alone while he is out having a good time. B. He would rather party with his idiot friends then see me and C. If he's out getting drunk/high are there other girls there? I guess I'm just not sure what I'm suppose to do, I think I love him and I don't want to be clingy..ever. How much am I suppose to hangout with him? I'm a complete mess over this guy.

He's young and stupid. Save yourself some heartache and break up with him. Maybe that sounds extreme, but if thats what he likes to do and you don't then you aren't going to work.

eyeswideopen agony auntI think you at least need to get your priorities straight. What kind of future is HE preparing for? Are you or he independently wealthy? Are you not thinking about college or a career?
