writes: Hey guys, Ok, so here it is. My partner and I had unpretected sex last night and usualy we use the "pull out method' which i know is risky blah blah blah not looking for a lecture on that. But last night, he said during sex for a very brief period for some reason his penis went soft. He said it didnt feel like he came, but neither of us understood. I know it's possible, but it dosnt necessarily mean....right? also just wondering - just in case, most home tests are only 5-7 days after, are there any that detect earlier? thank you.

Tisha, that video was the bomb. Planned Parenthood is amazing, and this video is a perfect example of why. Even I learned a little something new!!

I know what you mean about feeling like a kid again in sex ed class. But I learned things from the video too, and I thought I was fairly well-educated about this subject! So I'm glad it helped.
Take care.
And please do reconsider unprotected sex, it'll save you a lot of worry and heartache and possibly keep you from getting pregnant or contracting an infection.

I can't answer the going soft part of the question, but I think I can help with the earlier detection of pregnancy one. If the egg is fertilized in the fallopian tubes, it takes a couple of days for it to then move down into the uterus and implant itself there. Only when it is implanted do the hormones that indicate pregnancy begin to be released and therefore detectable.
Have a look at this informative video.

People who use the pullout method generally will be parents earlier than the ones who use more reliable methods. Saves a lot of money on home pregnancy tests too.
Take care.
