Since I've been going through depression, sometimes I'm sad at school so I will be alone at recess. When I was sitting all alone on the other side of the field at school, he starts walking over to me. I was crying too when he came. He asked me why I was alone. I said "Because I'm loney and everyone hates me. I don't think anyone cares.." He put his hand on my shoulder and said "I care." Do you think he was going to hug me? Do you think he really likes me?  He probably likes you because he sounds like a decent person. However, you don't sound like you are in the right frame of mind to deal with any sort of relationship at the moment. I would urge you to talk to a teacher or counsellor about how you are feeling about things. If this friendship develops with the boy then it is fine but try to sort out your own feelings about yourself first and don't pin all your hopes of happiness on just one person! Good luck.
