writes: hi i'm going out with this amazing guy and i would like to go the full way with him, of course not now but maybe in six months time or so, but he wants to do cam to cam and i'm willing to do it but i'm extremly worried about my pubes. What should i do, do most guys prefer them shaved or whatI have shaved them recently and now i'm extremely worried about getting an ingrown hair, is it likely i would get one if i only shaved once and i'm still a virgin?

reader, anonymous, writes (4 May 2009): I don't see why being a virgin would make any difference to whether you have ingrowing hairs or not. If you are worried about ingrowing hairs, my g/f uses epalating cream or something, it thins the hairs out. You'll only get ingrowing hairs if you shave or wax and they are more common with shaving.
As for what guys like, there's no answer to that. Some like it bald, others like it looking like Bob Marley! A common preference is the "landing strip" look but if you're really worried and this guy is as amazing as you say he is, then you could just ask him. The worst thing that is likely to happen is that he will look at you with a puzzled look and say "I dunno". If he reacts any worse than that, then the guy seems insensitive and is probably not worth bothering with. Hope this helps!
