I took it with a pinch of salt. However, he always does make an effort to look good, and is always very nice to everyone as well.I find his suggestion weird, I tried telling him what a colostomy bag was, but he said I was being silly - he said a colostomy bag is just a posh name for a "man bag".What should I do now?? He's being particularly insistent about it! Reply to this Question Share |

I don't think he understands what it is, no matter what I tell him. What should I do now??

Get him a new brain to go with his bag?
I am sure that anyone that really has to wear one of these bags, could explain to him that its not out of choice.

A colostomy is a surgical procedure to bypas the rectum and anus so that faeces (poop) can leave the body through the abdominal wall. Does your husband really want a bag so that hos poo comes out his tummy? Im sorry, but this seems like a really really odd thing to want, and I dont think it would be possible to persuade a doctor to perform this surgery without a medical reason. Are you sure you or he doesnt have this confused with something else, an enema maybe? (that is where they wash your colon and rectum, where the poo comes out) If you could clarify a littl more, then maybe I could help, but Im really confused!! Thanks!
