When I was about to leave I hugged him and he hugged me the same exact way cept he kind of played with my hair a bit which led to an awkward moment of " -.- its weave" and he's XD I know I know.After that, no more affection he...o.e pets me on the head like his other friends. And now like doesn't distance himself he just seems more distant like he acts different around me now and kind of awkward...We were spending time together with one friend and he was about to leave and I complimented him on his eyes because he had very large pupils(dilated) but his were a pretty brown and he laughed and said thanks then when he was about to leave the awkwardness came when he was like "Sooo I'll see you at school tmw?" I smiled and said "Yeah! Course," and I literally expected him to hug me but he didn't and honestly we both ended up looking kind of awkward because I was fidgeting a little and he was kind of just standing. Then I smiled and was like bye and he smiled and was like bye and we both kind of smiled and looked at each other. Today, he seemed even absent-minded, I guess because he needed to go to class but it was only 12:43 and class starts at 1:15. But I was wearing a new shirt and asked him if he liked it and he was like "yeah, it's cute," and he kinda kept walking nonchalant. Like, what's with the sudden halt? What might it mean when a guy does that? Could it mean he's not interested? Or shy?Guys, help me out lol

 My guess is that he likes you he is just unsure about how to show it or how to let you know that he likes you. All the classic signs are there, and when a teenage guy likes someone they tend to act more awkward and distant because they are unsure how to deal with it. Therefore I think you should show him you like him. Maybe you be the first to hug him and show him that you won't let him down. He is probably scared that if he shows you how he feels you won't feel the same.
