writes: help help how do i address this with my boyfriend,he thinks he hurt me during sex but it was not his fault as i have a hernia and it popped out during sex and i had to stop as it was hurting me. he now thinks he is the cause of it and won't stop saying sorry and telling me he promises not to make love to me anymore as he doesn't want to hurt me. i have told him it was not anything he did wrong but i'm not sure i have convinced him as he sent me a txt tonight apologising and sayin sorry to me again. what do i say to make him see he is not at fault. reader, anonymous, writes (18 July 2009): I don't think you can do much more than tell him it wasn't his fault. Tell him you don't want him to stop making love to you, and it's just one of those things that happens to you.
Maybe you should see about getting the hernia repaired? It's a relatively simple procedure and certainly something worth considering.

Just explain to your boyfriend that it wasnt him and it was your hernia, and maybe even do some reserch when he is with you to make him understand more about why it hurts you. Maybe you should make the first move next time to show him that its ok, and its not his fault.
