writes: I have this friend whom I've known for years. We go to the same school but we don't have any classes together this year. We used to talk all the time. But we got drifted apart. However, just recently, he asked me for my number again, saying how he lost all his contacts when renewing his phone. So we started talking again. He's been complimenting me a few times in our chats. I don't know what this means though.He also has been saying how much he wishes to help me in my studies and etc. The problem is, he when I reply him, he doesn't reply immediately most of the time. Probably a few hours later, I finally then receive a reply from him. What does that imply? Please help.

It depends, some people do this as a "method" to not look too keen.
I do a similar thing, but my job doesn't leave me with a whole lot of free time, so sometimes, people don't get a reply for a few days lol
But this method from him is already working because it has you thinking! I bet you're probably thinking, wonder what he's doing, wonder who else he is texting or talking to, that kinda thing.
If you like this guy then just go with it. He could genuinely be taking a long time to reply, because it does happen, or just trying to not look to eager.
