He has always teased me, which someone said was a sign that he was trying to flirt, but it wasn't until this week that he has ever stroked my hair, however briefly. He is not my boyfriend, he is my friends brother. No-one else saw him do it, and if it wasn't for the fact that it sent a strange tingle through me, I'd have said I imagined it.So, was he trying to flirt by stroking my hair back? I have always found it to be a rather intimate gesture, but as he is not someone who makes these overtures, I am not sure.Hope you can tell me. I am intrigued.

This is a Tier-1 flirting gesture. Not only does it ocnvay interest, but you can very easily judge a girls' reaction to see if she's interested too. If you appeared to enjoy it, he will assume you want to kiss him.

Stroking one's hair is a loving, caring gesture. I would take it as yes he is into you.
