It's not that he doesn't love me because I know he does. It's the fact that I have told him before that I'm not happy and he is a bad boyfriend -- which I know now is a 'bigno no' -- maybe he doesn't believe me..,
I asked him about it and he got hurt again. He says he can never do anything right -- and that's not what I meant

A
reader, anonymous, writes (10 July 2009): ive never heard that term before but im thinking it means he cant say he loves you back because the poor wee boy doesnt know the meaning of the word. ie hes too immature to be in a relationship with you, so give him the boot and go find yourself a guy that is deserving of your love

well it could mean that he is joking with you. I have often argued with past partners about who loves who more and often its just a joke.
Secondly he might just not believe you
