He says he is in "awe"...meaning?

What does it mean when a guy says he is in awe ?. This guy wrote that as a comment on one of my photos on facebook, and he has said that he would like to see me again. We met in person once recently. He has also "poked " me on facebook.

It was a compliment. I take it English is not your first langauge?

The poking is irrelevant. I even suspect FB auto does that and not so much the person as I don't poke anyone and yet I get pokes and ask why and am told because they were returning the poke.
