Question - (16 September 2007) 2 Answers - (Newest, 16 September 2007)
A female United States age 41-50, anonymous writes:

My boyfriend and I have been together for 2 years and currently live together. He comes from a pretty messed up family and has therefore had a lot of difficulty in relationships.

Our has been plagued with conflict..him being dishonest about his past, not sticking up to friends when necessary, etc. I have felt like the past 2 years has been spent with him learning even how to be in a healthy relationship.

It has gotten better. He's a good guy... intelligent, funny, hard worker, caring but I dont feel like he has anything to offer me in the way of growth. Meaning I feel like I teach, lead, etc.

He says he feels like I'm a step ahead of him on everything. Is it time to go?

THANKS MUCH FOR THE ADVICE!!

Sounds to me like you have a good thing going. Do you really want a guy to lead and take care of you? Would you be content to follow your man?
