If you like him then go for it. Obviously try not to fall out with your friends but if they kick off then it's their problem, not yours. Calling names is harsh. Good friends are meant to support you. As your friends, they should respect what makes you happy.

When I was your age, I worried what my friends would think about the girls I went out with. I think you'll find that you'll be much happier if you live for you.
If you go with a guy and your friends make fun of you, firstly, they're not really your friends, secondly, just don't let them see that it bothers you. Shrug it off. They'll stop making fun of you.

if there yur real frriends they will understand you really like this boy and that if it makes you happy they sgould be happy for you,or if they dont tell them to put it in there perspective,
