writes:I have been with my boyfriend for 8 months now, we love each other very much, we are really happy together, have fun, chat about everything! but every time we have sex we never use condoms... the first time i ever slept with him he said he had one on but it wasnt till after i realised he hadnt. ever since we havent used condoms, and sometimes he brings the topic of having kids, i think he may want me to get pregnant and is trying to. but then he says things like "i wouldnt have kids yet". but then i think why doesnt he ever want a condom on then? i know its my responsibility just as much as his, im not on the pill, injection or implant because it makes me put on weight. in a way i wouldnt mind having a baby but im just a bit young for all that yet. do you think he is trying to get me pregnant?

reader, anonymous, writes (17 November 2009): When you really look at it 8mths is not very long time to know someone to be having unprotected sex with them, not only you are young and dont need to get pregnant now STDs are rampant, and you both need to get tested if you are gonna do something like this, condoms on the other hand cannot protect you from all STDs for example herpes, which i saw someone previously mentioned but herpes can be on the genital region so you can get it by contact with hairs etc, HPV is another and now very common, and there are others so you need to be very careful, you seem to be more concern about getting pregnant, you stated its your responsibility as well so respect yourself honey, you seem to laid back about it, dont risk your life for sex, whatever ridiculous excuse he may have for not wearing a condom, your self respect and selfworth is more important. There are condoms which actually feel like youre wearing nothing, i understand this from my partner and other guys, but guys make foolish excuses to not wear one, "oh its too small, its this the other, dont be fooled honey, As i said 8mths is not a very long time to know someone really well to be having unprotected sex with then, so if you want to have unprotected sex you both get tested, do you know if he had sex unprotected with everyone he ever had sex with?? be mindful of these things again respect yourself!!

 some guys just don't like to wear them much, i used to be like that until my new g'friend said "your wearing a condom or we are NOT having sex" condoms have more than 1 use they stop you getting pregnant and stop the spread of STDS like herpes etc. has he had an STD check lately?? although condoms feel horrible for a guy they must always be worn during sex.if he doesn't wanna wear a condom ask him to get checked at at a sexual relations clinic for an STD test
