Ok I've loved my best friend for almost 2years now and he told me the same thing....he tells me how much he loves me and all his feelings towards me. He even came up with his own nickname for me. Now I've asked him to be mine but he told me no he doesn't want to leave me heart broken in the end...I cried for days then he told me he was moving...I cried even more...I have no idea how to get over him...he always talks to me and hangs out around me like nothing happened... Can you please tell me how to get over him...

A female reader, anonymous, writes (18 March 2013):

He is a friend and in his mind that's what he wants to be to you.

Maybe he is frightened if anything changes he will lose that?

What you must do is give some time and space and concentrate on you and enjoying life, if things develop they were meant to be, and if not, you remain friends.

It's a win, win situation. So smile and think positive and if or when he becomes braver and wants something more you will be emotionally healthy and ready, for him or maybe even someone new x
