 This is kind of difficult. and I don't want to be the one messing out your feelings for him, but i have to be honest. A FOOTBALL PLAYER!!! ALWAYS A PLAYER!!! But, I dont know how is your relationship with him, so I have to say that if you love him and want to wait for him go ahead. Do what your hearts tell you to do...You are very young and have a whole life ahead of you. My advice to you is don't plan your life around him. Do you own thing, study and be someone. Then, if you guys end up together fine, but if not then you can continue with your life as it is....Don't expect anything...

3 years is a long time and if you've never doubted him, you shouldn't start now. just try and make sure the passion never dies, send sexy texts, make him remember you love him although he knows, remind him of what he has and he'll defo never stray.
long distance relationships work aslong as you trust him and i'm sure it won't be long before he is back with you.
only you know if it is true love.
