My boyfriend of less than a year has started "liking" pages on fb that feature bikini-clad/naked girls that post daily pictures. He liked one today and it really hurt my feelings. I mentioned it to him and he said it would be unusual if he didn't like them, so he obvs doesn't get it. But he knows how I feel about guys that do this! I have no problem with guys looking at pictures of girls or boobs, we all know that they like them... It is my firm belief that if you're mature enough you shouldn't have to "like" this kind of stuff on facebook! It's a given, and it also makes you look pathetic (imo). I feel really hurt by this, he's not that kind of guy at all, and he's mature, or so I thought... Am I being oversensitive? I feel like he's advertising the fact he's looking at these images and it's being rubbed in my face - I'm not the thinnest girl, nor do I have big boobs... Next plan of action...? Opinions please, guys and girls.Thanks:)

reader, anonymous, writes (23 October 2012): Yeah, I can see why you'd be upset. You're not mad that he "appreciates" other women, but rather that he has to promote his liking of them to the world. He should spend less time on the internet looking at women and more time obsessing over his girlfriend (you). Explain this to him if you haven't already, and if he respects you, he'll stop or at least tone it down a bit. Try to at least come to a compromise. Once again, if he can't take your feelings into consideration, he probably isn't as mature as you thought. I know it might sound kind of pre-school, but I personally would get on his level of ignorance and start posting random stuff on my own facebook that I knew he wouldn't like, whether it be political, something to do with a hot guy, or just anything you know would get to him to understand what it feels like. Also, don't compare yourself to these girls. No guy is worth that. Good luck.

 I don't think you are being over sensitive, I wouldn't like this either. It's very juvenile and piggish in my opinion. Rather than mention that you saw him doing it, tell him how it makes you feel and how you view him when he does this. Tell him it bothers you and makes you uncomfortable as well as it makes him look like immature, pathetic and sex obsessed. although immature may not fit since men of all ages can behave this way. But after telling him exactly how you feel if he makes no effort to stop (it isnt at all difficult to stop) then its up to you if you leave him over it. I would, in addition to how I would see him differently for openly ogling half naked women on Facebook, it is quite disrespectful to me.
