writes:Hi there, im a bit confused lately. i've been seeing this guy (paul) now for 1 and 1/2 weeks. we've known eachother for 3 years and he has liked me for a while but i had a boyfriend (jack). i finished with jack and me and paul started texting and seeing each other at a few house parties. we kissed at these parties and then met up a few days into texting. we watched a film and had a cuddle and he seems a nice guy its just he has a bit of a reputation for being a player, and i dont really want to be used. he bought me flowers on valentines and i stayed round his that night. we then spent the whole weekend together and he took a day off work to spend it with me.we havent actually been on an actual date yet however but he said he wants to. do u think he likes me? or is he just after sex? he has been with a lot of women before. thanks

reader, anonymous, writes (19 February 2009): If you have known this guy for three years then you know the answers to your own questions. It sounds like he is being nice to you, and sometimes a player can change his ways when he starts to care about someone, but if he has been a jerk to past girlfriends, he has the potential to do the same thing to you.
So trust your instincts and don't give him any sex, that way you will be able to tell just how much he cares about you....if he likes you he will be happy just to be in youru company....so take things slow, you will know what to do when the time comes if you keep your wits about you.
