A female United Kingdom age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Hi there, I need some help before I destroy my relationship. I have been seeing a lovely guy for a month now up until the weekend things were good. Unfortunately because this guy is a doorman he has alot of female attention and unfortunately Saturday I witnessed this attention, a young girl was making is so obvious that she was after him that I completely lost it and had to leave the pub he works in.

I have always been a jealous person and knew what sort of things came with his job but I could not control myself. I did not tell him why I was leaving but I did tell him later on the night how I felt. I thought he might have been reassuring but he said all his ex girlfriends used to get jealous and question him about whether or not he was messing around and he was fed up of justifying whether or not he was. This left me upset as I was thinking is he trying to tell me something.

He said he cannot help it if women like him he is just doing his job and he has not given me a reason to be jealous because he didnt do anything. I dont know what to do I care alot for this man. Another reason I worry is cause this guy is Russian and there is a slight language barrier, his english is good but does not always understand me. He does not discuss his feelings or say if he likes me or not because he does not like discussing his feelings which is something i need at times a bit of reassurance. I dont want to end it with him as I will prob regret it but I do need some advice on how to handle it and make him to only want me. Thanks x
