Everything's been going OK, we're socialising, and popular in our local neighborhood. However, our sex life is the only issue which is causing problems... my husband only ever wants sex when he's under the influence, which is strange considering he's only a social drinker, and would never drink and drive. I asked him why, and he insisted it was "more fun than regular sex ever would be". I told him I was concerned, but I'm worried about getting pregnant, as I don't want a baby with foetal alcohol syndrome or any disability like that due to his habit.Even worse, he insisted it has to be unprotected just so "the good times can roll when having sex under the influence"I've tried to get him to go to couples counselling or a sex counsellor to discuss the issue, but he insists that would be embarrassing for him.I'm not that sexually adventurous, and never intend to be, safe but fun sex is all that I need in my sex life.I would like advice in resolving this, since it's clearly causing tension between us.All help appreciated from you guys, I used this site to help my sister when she was down.taLauren:)-

Since you dont want to fall pregnant, go to your healthcare professional or your doctor for either the contraceptive pill or injection. With regards to your husband only wanting sex when he has had a few to drink might be that he finds he can relax more and loose his inhibitions. Sex under the influence of a few glasses of wine can be exciting and he probably will be more willing to try different things. Before you try and get him to go to a counsellor, take matters into your own hands, and sort out contaception for yourself so that if one day you have sex with him without a condom, you might find you are more relaxed because you are not worrying about falling pregnant, and might find sex a lot more fun!Honeygirl
