Now, I don't have the best self esteem so I didn't even bother talking to him or anything as I didn't think I had a chance in hell with him. However, he apparently asked a friend of mine who I was and where I was from. does this mean he likes me? Or was he just curious? ( I am of a different ethnic origin to everyone in the class, so he could have just been curious) Thanks!(we are in our early 20s)

Asking about you is always a good sign, but you're right, he could have just been curious. I say that you should try to keep talking to him, maybe even ask him out to coffee sometime. That would drop a hint and also be friendly enough. If u r in ur 20s I am assuming that ur at a college campus so I am sure u could find somewhere near by before or after class. If it doesn't go anywhere from there, well at least you tried! You should never go about life asking 'what if'. Be a doer not a dreamer

Ok well he was curious for sure but thats a good thing anyway not a bad thing, so you need to try and build up some self asteem because it sounds like he might be a little shy also when he didnt come direct to you and ask you, so next time you see him smile and say hello and ask him how his day is going, take it step by step every day until you are both having conversations. goodluck.
