We have been married for 45 years and have always enjoyed sex with one another but recently we both have been on a lot of medication due to sugar diabetes, high blood pressure etc, it is my husband who is having the problem. He gets all into the sexual act but when it is time to climax he cannot and eventually loses it. He gets very frustrated about it because he feels he does not please me. I want to help him so can you suggest why this is happening and give us some advice? Will appreciate your help so much. I am very shy so needed to do this secretly okay? Thanks.

Some blood pressure medications, notably beta-blockers, are notorious for affecting sexual abilities in men. Warnings clearly state, for instance, that atenolol may cause erectile dysfunction. That may be why he is "losing it." My advice is to consult a physician as I did at age sixty.
