I met him on an online site and we have been best friends for 6 months now and he never used to message me that often in a day but we did talk everyday. However, recently like 2 days ago he has been messaging me a lot like nearly all the time and this morning he was the first one to message me, when its usually me that messages him first. What does it mean that he has started to talk more frequently to you?

"Whatcha doin'?" "Whattsup?"
If he doesn't have anything particularly interesting or important to say, he has some extra time on his hands.
