Question - (2 October 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 October 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 2 years. He was in the Army based in Germany for 6years but left just before we met. Things havent been easy and there have been times when we have thought we woould be better off apart but we got through it and everything was fine. Then in April this year he decided to join the Army again and go back to Germany without even talking to me aboout it. I got over it and we had a lot of talks. He promised he wouldnt cheat and he would write and call. A ll of which he did for the first few months. It was my 18th birthday the begining of September and he promised to come back, had the leave and flight booked then let me down. I know that sometimes this can not be helped but i havent heard from him for 5 weeks. He has cheated in the past and the way he is being is making me think he is cheating now. What do other people think?

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (2 October 2009):

Hmm, he promised a lot and didn't ultimately deliver. And on top of that, he cheated before. I would think about those points very carefully. Sounds to me like you'd be better off finding a guy who'll commit to you. I'm not sure that this one will, and I think you'll get hurt more. Don't settle for second best.
