She's so horrid and flirts with his friends. We aren't really friends but we occasionally say hi. He's really funny and kind.So I was wondering its the start of school in a week. Is there anyway I could make him like me or notice me more (we have to wear uniform and I'm incredibly shy) please help

You don't. Don't be THAT girl.
You can't just assume that because YOU want him, that you should HAVE him. He is not a cookie. Neither is his GF.
IF they have been together for 9 months then he OBVIOUSLY like her... a lot.

Just show him that you're interested. If he's interested in turn then the choice is his. Don't try to break them up or anything. And, how you show your interest is up to you, I'm not a teenage girl so I can't help you.
