Its a dating website of sorts.what sort? For people who have an std! According to his profile,he has hpv.We had sex...only once but clearly that could have been one too many times! What are the chances that I might now have hpv as well? I feel so stupid. How could he not tell me this? We used a condom.I dont know a lot about hpv,but I didnt see anything unusual about his penis.I know looks can be decieving though. What are the chances that I have could have it? I know ill need to get checked out to know for sure, but what is the possibility with a condom?

The area of skin that is exposed and not covered by the condom can expose you to the virus. Many women are exposed and most of the time the body fights it off. However, you should go get a pap and they will tell you for sure if there is a hint of HPV.

HPV is carried by men but infects women. From the literature I have read, he would not show many, if any, signs.I too had a small scare with HPV where it came to light that my ex husband had slept with a woman who had the virus. Because he was my husband, we were not using condoms. My gyno ran tests on me (the full barrage of STD tests) and everything came up clear. Sometimes your body can reject the virus and girls may be infected with it several times in their lives. Depending on the strain, your body may fight it and you'll be fine.Go get tested. If you used a condom, you are ahead of the game. This may sound silly, but considering the fact that he knew, and how angry you are, you might even consider looking into your legal rights. With HIV/ AIDS, it is illegal to knowingly infect someone. If you used a condom, I'm sure he thought he was being safe, but really, he needed to disclose this information to you first. He probably feels ashamed that he carries the virus, but he should not put your health at risk.
