 You shouldn't be making a decision after dating someone long distence for 5 months & only seeing them a couple times to spend the rest of your life with them. I don't think that text messaging someone will allow you to get to know them the way that you need to before saying "I do" for life.

reader, anonymous, writes (15 February 2007): If youve ever read "The five love languages" book, it says that the first two years are years of "lust, obsession and new love" you may feel like you love this man but if you actually want a lasting marriage then you have to realize that you need to really love this man. just because hes nice and gets you a pretty ring shouldnt mean you should marry him. thats why so many divorces happen, because people are so blinded by love and it takes a while for them to realize the flaws in their partner that may really get to them 5 years down the road. im just sayin'.
