I have a problem. I have been seeing this man for a year and a half now. We have a really great time together and have a lot in common. I was ready to settle down and be committed to him about 8 months into the relationship. I openly discussed my feelings with him. He told me he cared about me but was not ready to be committed to a relationship. After this we have seen each other off and on. Both of us have dated other people. During dating other people I met another man who has fallen completely in love with me and who I care about deeply. He is everything I ever dreamed of except that he is 20 years older then me. Him and I had a misunderstanding and decided to slow our relationship down. Now the first guy comes back and tells me I am the one. I have been totally committed to the older man and have worked very hard to build a healthy relationship with the older man how do i know which one to move forward with? I am so torn!

A male reader, Welsh Uncle Dave United Kingdom +, writes (11 January 2011):

Only you can decide what you want but it sounds like your first bloke had his chance and missed the boat and now that he's caught a later one he thinks he can just walk back into your life.

If one of them was to let you down later on in life, who do you think is most likely?
