She sees me as a brother - despite, which, she has occasionally behaved much more like a girlfriend than this although I stress we have never been intimate, to the extent that many of our mutual friends thought that we were a couple or that she fancied me.Anyway, she is now seeing someone, and I am truly happy for her, but I feel I need to distance myself from her to allow me to get over my feelings for her (if I can). I am hoping to do this without a big chat, because I know it would be devastating for her. When I was possibly moving away last summer she fell apart at the thought of my not being around.I just need someone who has been there to tell me it does get easier, coz at the moment, while I feel it is the right thing to do, it's really hurting me - solely because she is my best friend and on the friendship front we both mean the world to each other.

ok i have been in that and it does get eaiser. My best friend was dating the guy i liked and they were going out for like 6 months. All it took for him to break up with my friend was me talking to him... but the only thing is i knew he liked me so it was easy. The first thing you should do is make shure she likes you the way you like her. Thats the hard part! everything gets really easy after that! once you know how she feels and she knows that you have feelings for her you can just talk. thats it. for me it took like 1 hour of talking but every girl is diffrent and since she is your best friend you should know what kind of guy she likes and how you can get her its just that simple!shoot me an e-mail if you have any quistions and i hope i hepled youSOCCERLOVER1000
