A relationship is about so much more than sex. It involves being together, going out, shared interests, respect and love for each other.
If you only see someone to have sex and dont see them again til they or you want sex again, its not a relationship x

Simple, a relationship can survive without sex, just sex can't.
You might as well ask what is the difference between having a mother and having a butler. Both take care of you but the difference should be obvious.

Being in a relationship is something that you do to figure out if you want to spend the rest of your life with and if they are the right person then you do. Sex is something that can be a physical impulse or if you are with someone you love it can be an expression of that love and trust.
