Me and my boyfriend were missing around and were going to have sex without a comdom, but my bf couldn't get it all the way up and he wasn't there for long. Does this make me not a virgin and could I have got pregnant from what we did?

maxsteel86 agony auntyou're probably not pregnant... depending on the timing and everything. If it was during the fertile period of your cycle (anywhere between day 10-18 for someone on a 28 day cycle) there's a 40% chance you'll get pregnant (probably less if he wasn't close to ejaculating at all during the thing) so I wouldn't be too worried

all the doomsayers are probably telling you worrying things but I'm sure its not that bad. Still, be more careful in the future

bonym agony auntNo you are not a virgin anymore. This tripe I hear about "He has to pop my cherry then I am no longer a virgin" is rubbish. Your hymen can be torn and ruptured froma young age if you do bike or horse riding etc. Just because you didnt have full sexual intercourse it does not mean you are no longer a virgin. This is the definition of a virgin: a person who has never had sex.

Quite simply, and you did have sex, maybe he didnt go ALL the way or maybe he was not hard for long enough, but you did have some sort of intercourse, so yes you could be pregnant, but this all depends on ovulation etc and no you are not a virgin in my view. xXx

Male's have a calpers gland which releases semen at any time, even unnoticed. To be safe, try a pregnancy test.

Well by what I can gather he didn't fully penetrate you which suggests to me that you are still a virgin. When you have full sexual intercourse for the first time then it is quite normal for you to bleed a little because your hymen( a membrane which covers the vaginal opening) is ruptured. Did your bf ejaculate? If he did then you should be concerned about the possibility of pregnancy. Please be careful in future and always use a condom. Not only does it protect you from pregnancy but STD's also.

A female reader, Bev Conolly Australia +, writes (7 June 2006):

Bev Conolly agony auntThe virginity question is always an iffy one. There will be people who claim that if he didn't get it all the way in, you're still "technically" a virgin. Or if he didn't get past your hymen, you're still a virgin. And then there'll be those who say if it even goes in a little, you've lost it.

I won't wade into that argument except to say, if you two planned this and "were going to have sex without a condom", and he got his penis in partway, then it sounds like you intended to have full sex, and then did. Define that how you like with your slant on virginity.

If your virginity is an important thing to you, then you don't have sex, right?

As to the pregnancy issue, YES, you can be pregnant. There are millions of sperm even in the clear fluid that leaks out before an ejaculation, and sperm can live for several days in your vagina, so if it's an option for you, you should consider the Morning After pill.

Failing that, get pregnancy tested as soon as you can, so you know where you stand and can take whatever steps are necessary.

Now, I hope that you're not pregnant, but couldn't all have this have been avoided if you'd just taken responsibility for your actions? For heaven's sake, girl, if you're going to "mess around" in this way, buy some condoms and make sure he puts them on!
