writes:Has anyone gotten pregnant by having sex 4 days before ovulation? My periods are regular 28 day cycle. I had unprotected sex with my husband August 2, and late night on the 3rd. I tested for ovulation on August 6th but I was not ovulatiing. August 7th I was. we are trying to conceive by the way!

I got pregnant 4 days before ovulation, and its a boy so all the crap they put over the internet is wrong. They say if you get pregnant before ovulation it will be a girl because female sperm lives longer and they say if you get pregnant on the day of ovulation or day after its a boy but that's bollox x

Well it takes 3 days for the sperm to get up there so it might have worked and it might not. You have a good chance but it's impossible to say for sure and you really shouldn't torture yourself with "well the internet said I will be pregnant!!!" and then get horrified when you get your period.
One question is: Why are you only having sex once or twice around the time of ovulation? Surely you can't hate your husband that much? ;o)
When it comes to that time of the month, shag his brains out.
