 From what I have googled on the net, you can get it more than once, but only up to the age of 4/5 years old.

I'm not going to pretend to know what that is (guess I could google it, but it still wouldn't make me an expert), but if you have reason to believe this diagnosis is not right, then get a second opinion from another doctor (or maybe two if you feel more comfortable).
