reader, anonymous, writes (20 December 2006): How old are you? If you are quite young then it is understandable that you don't quite understand just what love is. But if you are older then you should know if you are in love. If it is true love then you never really go off them. Over time things can mellow and you can lose that newness but you don't fall in and out of love and then back in again.

reader, anonymous, writes (20 December 2006): You sound confused in your question, if you are in love with someone, you know it, not just think it. Love is not simply a fleeting feeling, that is like or lust (if he is hot). Love is knowing someone entirely including the good and the bad and still loving them. Real love takes time, if really don't know someone, it's simply not love. If it wasn't love and the relationship split apart, going back is a bad thing, it only swirls up emotions that aren't good for you. Hopefully I answered your question, if not, be more specific.
