I'd been to this area a couple of times and have always wanted a reading, and this time i plucked up the courage to go in.I have been interested in it, but i wouldnt say i was gullible. Some of the things she told me seemed to ring true, but i wouldnt rely on information recieved, but one point did stick with me. She mentioned that i was at odds with a friend and asked if it'd hurt me to know, that if i gave up that friendship, it would be no detriment to my life. All that she said on this point made perfect sense, i had recently fallen out with a friend, and i was torn between keeping her as a friend, since i have known her for eight years, or take the plunge and distance myself away from her. I had almost made the decision to make the break while i felt affronted enough, but i must now admit, that the clairvoiyant, made up my mind. I think that if i didnt have my friend in my life, my life would be a whole lot easier.Anyway, my question is, has anyone been to a clairvoiyant and has what they told you, helped you make a decision in life or do you think it's a load of rubbish?ThanksP

I would strongly discourage anyone from seeking the services of a psychic with regard to any life changing decision i.e. relationships, they cannot guarantee the outcome of what will happen tomorrow let alone months ahead. The other danger is that some people actually take the advice so seriously and live their life waiting for the outcome that never happens.
Finally, the law changed this April, The Fraudulent Mediumship Act 1951 which psychics came under, now have work under Consumer Protection Regulations if any monies are exchanged, this is to protect members of the public against psychics who charge lots of money from vulnerable people. In conclusion a psychic you are paying will tell you what you want to hear. Life is far to short to keep worrying about the future, enjoy it and live in the now.

How come there never is a clairvoyant lottery winner?

If you go to a clairvoyant is it free? No it is not. They charge and they charge a large amount as well.
So they are in it for the money. Well any clairvoyant who is not scamming people can claim 1 million dollar anytime he wants to by contacting James Randi, the skeptic.
1 million dollars for anyone who can proof they are a true clairvoyant. The money so far has NOT been claimed nor has anyone come even remotely close to it.
How come? How can it be that so called true clairvoyants charge several euro for a minute long phonecall, obviously doing it for money but let a million dollars lie untouched?
And don't forget, the person who wins that million dollars will have the biggest free advertising campaign the world has ever seen. EVERYONE will know about that clairvoyant and that they have been proven to be the real thing. Forget 3 euro per minute, they will be payed fees that make the CEO of Enron seem like minimum wage.
And yet, none do so. Odd.
Magicians do the same tricks all the time, it ain't all that hard. Hell, in a way we do the same thing on this site, from just a small post we attempt to deduce a persons history and OFTEN get it RIGHT! When I comment that someone has been abused in the past by reading between the lines it sure as hell don't mean I am clairvoyant. Just old and seen it all before. I have little doubt that if you had recorded the conversation with your clairvoyant you would have noticed you either giving small clues as to what was going on, or her having some random guesses first. And remember, random guessing sometimes gets you lucky the first time.
For instance, I see in your past that you had a pet and you cried when it died. Fairly easy guess, most kids have pets and you are female so you probably cried and hardly are going to wish to claim you didn't cry if you didn't.
Voila, I am a clairvoyant.

I do a bit myself and I sense that you are quite a strong person for your age even if you can appear to be vulnerable.
You know what you want and what you don't like in life. You are quite intelligent, with a cynical side, although you are open minded about everything.
Sound familiar?
It's not, I just made it all up.
There may be some people who are psychic, there may not. She said something and it helped you. She probably said a lot of other stuff that was no help at all. But you say yourself that you had pretty much made your mind up earlier.
The answer is:
No one Knows........ oooooooh!
Good Luck!! xx

Those people are involved in the occult and that harms your spirit and relationship with God our Creator. Those clairvoiyants are all cursed themselves and are used by satan to misguide people into the darkness thinking it's OK because it's only for entertainment. Do not engage in that stuff. I did and I wish I had never had done it. I have seen lot's of live's messed up for being involved in the occult. I was a witness of weird things that happen to them, curses and bad luck that struck them when they engaged in these practices, me included.
Go to church and explore the marvellous things that God and the Bible (yes the Bible) has for you. I did it and I no longer need readings because I like God to surprise me with all the things he has for me every day and I know my future is in His hands.

Once, a cartoonist said something that translates kinda like this: "A hand-reader is a lady who messes with your mind by messing with your hands". Maybe the cartoonist should have included clairvoyants?

I've never been to see one personally as I find the whole concept a little scary. I'm pretty open minded about it all, though I think many 'psychics' exploit people who are at a vulnerable time, having lost a loved one or going through a major life change.

Just like anything, there are good ones and bad ones. (usually the gypsy that live in the house that says "Psychic" in neon colors by the side of the road are the money hungry ones
I am not a skeptic and believe in the "supernatural". But I have come to the conclusion that most of them exploit it. Most of them don't really care about you or your life. They are spitting out general things that pertain to everybody and then ask for "donations".
I use to do it for fun and don't take it too seriously.
But now I stopped completely. I believe now that you control your life and destiny. It's better to save your money and have a one on one conversation with God to see which path you should go. The answer lies within you (your instinct) and not some clairvoiyant.
