personally i don't mind it, but if its a case where you are feeling a bit self conscious about it, trim it a bit.

 women are not all the same. some would mind it and some wont. other women find men with hair on their chest as macho and attractive, and some would find it disgusting.
Try to ask your girlfriend about what she feels about your body hair, and if the answer is not good? better find a way to get rid of it. WAXING...
