 Sorry, there's no way to say with this amount of information. Generally, a guy assumes that if a girl asks for his number, she must be *really* interested (since girls seem to expect guys to take all the initiative) - so we know he thinks you like him. But I couldn't say whether he returns that interest, or was just having a good time.
That assumes, of course, you're talking about interest in the sense of "she might be worth dating," rather than "she might be worth sleeping with." He's probably the latter, no way to tell with the former.

 I guess it could be an an ego thing, but the more obvious answer would be that he's interested in you and wants you number so he can see you again. You'll just have to wait and see if he calls. Or if he gave you his number, maybe after a day or so you could call him.
