Guys, do you lie about enjoying sex?

Question for the guys: do you ever lie about whether you enjoyed having sex with your girl? And if you do, why? Just curious and would like some insight into a guy's mind, like what reason there may have for lying about it. Thanks!

Background: my guy and I had been physically intimate just before two months into our relationship, but stopped a couple of months later for about three months. The first time since it started again was quite awkward...for both.

Not saying my guy lied, but I'm just a girl who feels like he didn't enjoy it, like the previous encounters. (He didn't cum.)

Also, considering it had been a while, I imagine it was just...awkward, like I said.

Thanks everybody!

This is verified as being by the original poster of the question

My boyfriend has definitely been very stressed the last couple of months. It almost got in the way of our relationship, but we managed to work past it. I haven't got mad at him or anything like that, and since my original post we were about to, again, but it didn't happen: he felt bad for upsetting me, and apologised. I honestly don't know that I was feeling upset (confused more than anything, really) but I accepted, and that was it.

I've suggested going away for a weekend, just the two of us, so hopefully that happens and helps...

Thanks for your replies! Wishing you a happy new year!

Who agony auntWell your question has been here a day and no one answered it, so I will try.

I'm thinking most guys have a goal orientated approach to this. The destination is at least as important as the journey. If he did not make his destination, it may have liked the journey but I thinking there will be at least some disappointment.

Why would a guy lie about it? Why would a person eat a meal someone cooked for them that they didn't like, and say it was great? Why would someone sit through a horrible piano recital and say it was wonderful?

Anyway I'm not saying your guy lied either, I'm just guessing about what I think most guys' outlook would be. Your guy may not be like I believe most guys are.

I think it varies from person to person. In general it is known that guys like sex. The feeling of penetrating my girl friend, the hugs, the kisses and caressing the body and finishing off is an awesome experience. But I've been through times in my job where I had to work for extended hours and keep up with part time school and stressed by the evening. My girl friend would be turned on and I would be tired and I couldn't give her the same performance. In fact it was difficult to keep it hard.

In summary, if you feel that your boy friend is doing too many things or is distracted - try to talk to him and explain how you feel. Don't get mad at him as it only puts him off more. Its normal for humans to multi task - we just need to balance things. If you want to get back to your good old times together, I suggest taking a break from regular life and going on a vacation where there's nobody whom you both know. Spend time together and share some love.
