A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *XBeccaTxX writes:

Guys have mixed opinions on me...

I am not fat(as far as i'm concerned!) i'm size 14,but some guys often call me fat.

Most of them don't,i'm CURVY.LITTERALY

..But the few guys that call me fat make it hard for the guys who tell me they like me to make a move.

It's realy getting on my nerves because (from the amount of friends i ave) i know that my personality is not bad,so it's just what people SAY that stops guys.

What can i do???

ladyleesha agony auntI agree with irish43, I'm a size 12-13, and I'm perfectly happy with my body. If your happy with ur body, then that should not be a problem, boys are just childish and don't have nothin else to do with their time. Jus shake them off, they probably really like you deep down anyway. Curvy is beautiful!!!!

A reader, anonymous, writes (14 April 2008):

Size 14 is not fat! Sheesh, the media tells young teen girls that, nowadays...to be an attractive and dateable, you have to be a size 2-6, nothing larger. Likely one of the biggest reasons, there is such a onslaught of eating disorders, out there.

What can you do? Well, you can just keep lovin' yourself for who you are, sweety. And maybe you need to approach a few guys and let them get to know the real you. Because in the end, no matter how trim you are, or how curvy you are, personality and intellect will be the deciding factor. But you are right to adore all that curvy, size 14 body which is YOU. Everyone is unique and born with a different body. No one type is better or worse than another. You state that a few guys call you fat but most of the other guys...don't. So who are the better guys to get to know? Let me tell you something. The myth that all teen boys like thin girls, is false! Most boys like to 'look' at the skinny girls. Just like you might like to look at a handsome 'buffed' guy. But that's it. The majority of teen guys prefer to date the nice, regular looking girls, who are not intimidating to them. Ignore the young guys that state you are 'fat'....learn now, to never, ever allow others opinions of you...take you down. You are amazing, just the way you are....hold your head high and let all that come through. Good luck and take care
