Good gift? I don't want to be boring & thoughtless

Hi,

the girl I like (or at least think I do - still unsure)has her birthday on friday, and we should be meeting Saturday (I suggested we meet for a coffee, but she asked if I would go for a walk with her - cannot really refuse)

Anyway, I'd like to get her a gift even something small would be good. Any advice? I don't want to be something boring and thoughtless, but also not something that jumps out and says 'I like you'.

She knows I am a passionate musician and always asks a lot of questions about that - perhaps a CD of the kind of music that I play and inspires me?

I like the idea of that, but a CD seems a bit dull somehow.

jessica04 agony auntI think a CD is a great idea. Don't sweat it. Just wrap it in cool paper and get creative. She will for sure notice the thought that went into it.

Also, bring coffee for you two to enjoy on your walk. If you don't know what she drinks, ask a friend of hers. Surprises are always nice. I know that I would be pretty happy with a Birthday Coffee, even if I just asked for a walk.

Good luck!

wonderingcat agony auntIt is not boring at all. In fact, especially if you downloaded the music yourself. Not a store bought one.

Perhaps not a single SD, but two? One containing music that you like (so she can learn to know you more) and that she likes (that way she knows that have started to learn about her too).

I always like the idea of getting someone something that lasts a long time, so CD is good. A nice CD bag/box is also good, that way she will remember you whenever she stores/takes her CD collection.

Sometimes something "silly" but sweet is also good. Like those glow in the dark mobiles or stickers that you can put on the ceiling (stars, milky way, etc etc etc). They're fun to look at night in your room LOL

OK, I've run out of ideas now. :-(

Have fun on Friday!
