She is sometimes really insecure about the way she looks and how much she weighs, which always seems crazy to me because I'm bigger than her. But, regardless, I always try to make her feel better an tell her she's beautiful, and she is. But the thing is..she is soo skinny. And she says she's been eating and stuff...but when she shows me her body, I feel like I should say something, but I obviously don't want to spoil the mood. She's so skinny I can make out the bones where most girls have curves. I think she's beautiful but I don't want to encourage that look, she always wants to be skinnier, but I don't want it to be like she can't sit in my lap because she has a boney butt, and it's weird to cuddle because..well yeah. What do I do/say without hurting her feelings? /:

She needs to see a professional. If she's so thin that she's showing bones yet still thinks of herself as fat, that's a serious red flag, and disorered thinking. You cannot help her with this, only a trained therapist will be able to.

Sounds like eating disorder for sure. It's a really hard subject to bring up because most girls suffering from it live in this "denial" zone where they actually see themselves as being "fat".
