(i may be wrong but i don't look thin like i used to) I play fast pitch softball and im very very athletic!! and I eat healthy. Gaining this much has me scared to eat, because I look so fat. I'm 14 btw. But my question is; is this normal, or is there something wrong with me??I'm scaredThank you for your help everyonex0x

u gain weight by what u eat, watch what u eat sometimes when people are worried they eat more than they should. Eat healthy and in smaller amounts during the day. If after doing this ur still gaining just go to ur doctor.

hey,
Its totally normal. Girls can gain anything from 3 - 8lbs. Its water retention. I bet you've noticed your boobs look a bit bigger recently too. It happens to everyone, when you start your period your weight will return to normal so dont worry about it. You can get herbal water retention tablets if you want to try them but its not a big deal and in a few days everything will be back to normal. Don't be scared to eat though, if you stop eating all that happens is your body goes into starvation mode and when you do eat again it stores a lot more as fat than it would normally, sort of as extra supplies because it doesnt know when it will be getting food again. Hence the old saying that dieting makes you fat. Just eat healthily and in a few days your weight will go back to what it normally is at the beginning of your cycle.

People with eating disorders often have an unrealistic perception of their bodies. This just means you think you look bigger than you do.Its very common. If you've gained ten pounds then that is probably a good thing if you looked thin before.
Remember all these sports your participating in also build your muscles up so although you may be a bit heavier you are also more toned and muscular.
Dont be afraid to eat, as long as your exercising your keeping yoyrself healthy.
If you feel your thoughts are getting a little out of hand dont be afriad to confide in someone or see a doctor.
Prevention is better than a cure.
good luck
