I'm a 21 year old woman, ever since settling in a home with the man i love and having a baby two years ago ive put on some weight, i guess the weight added on because i was happy and eating in alot with my partner. im 5 ft 8, i wear size 12 clothes at the moment (sometimes 14) and i weigh in at 14 stone, but i dont understand why i weigh 14 stone as im mainly a size 12? before i had my baby i weighed about 12 stone and was size 10, why do i seem to weigh alot when i fit in to sizes like that? i have very big breasts 38DD, Could that be what makes me tip the scales higher? otherwise im quite healthy, i dont smoke or rarely drink alcohol, i take vitamins everyday and am able to run around after my son and do normal things but weighing 14 stone is very worrying to me, and im not really happy with my figure and wish i was a perfect size 8, i see all these size 8 clothes and i dream of fitting into them, and i have been called fat a few times. i have to admit im not a very healthy eater, i only eat 3 meals a day but its unhealthy choices. the only healthy thing i do eat and drink is fruit and water (i drink alot of water) what can i do to lose a bit of weight, i also want tips in what meals to start eating to lose weight, i have started doing 30 minutes a night on my exercising bike and thinking of going on diet pills. what advice can you give me?

That's all she would eat. She'd make pots of healthy soup full of veggies and healthy protein and just eat that. I personally think that's a great idea, I've done it myself in the past when I've been dieting and I dropped the pounds instantaneously. Start your morning with a hard boiled egg or two and a piece of fruit (orange, strawberries, pineapple, mango, whatever) And sip white tea or green tea throughout the day (they help you burn fat). Then for lunch and dinner have soup. Soup suggestions: chicken vegetable, lentil, sweet potato-kale, tomato soup. Invent your own soup or look up healthy recipes. And enjoy the soup with a slice of avocado. If you get hungry throughout the day, have a handful of almonds or cashews a couple times a day. (If you are a heavy snacker DON'T eat the nuts or have any snacks around). And get some exercise. Do a workout video at home everyday. Jillian Michaels has really good ones.

My tips would be, don't snack ( I know easier said than done, when I'm on vacation and bored at home I tend to snack and when I'm at work I don't snack at all because I don't have the time, so here's what I do, simply don't buy snacks) exercise more than just 30 minutes push yourself to do a bit of walking in the morning, you won't even realize you're exercising, don't eat as much carbs, try to cut sweets and bread, don't drink fizzy drinks and alcohol, also there are a lot of calories in sweet drinks like tea and coffee, I take mine always with sweetener and it helps with the calories, I'm so used to it now that I hate the very sweet taste of sugar in my drinks, I also don't eat white bread or white rice, now I prefer the brown rice and wheat bread because of the nutritional value, try to do small changes that will suit your lifestyle and that you can maintain, oh and I don't know if you are one of those women that put in their plate the same portion size as their husbands, just don't do it, men need more calories and your portion size is probably the reason you haven't lost the baby weight yet.

you will never be a "perfect" size 8 you can weigh less than you did before the baby was born and you will still not fit in some of your pre-baby clothes... your body changes when you are pregnant and sadly sometimes it never goes back quite the same. Think about a uterus the size of a softball being stretched to the size of a large watermelon. It's not going to go totally back to pre-pregnancy size and neither is your belly.
If you are still nursing the baby then while all of this applies make sure you are getting enough calories to sustain everyone.
don't stress over sizes. stress over health.
NO DIET PILLS
30 minutes a night on the bike is good
or put the kid in the stroller and take a walk when you can...
food drinking water is good i suck at it. the more the better.
food: fruits are high in natural sugar so don't over do it on fruit. veggies are a good snack.. raw or lightly steamed.
low fat dairy is good.
lean proteins are good... eggs, fish, chicken, beef occasionally as well as seafood.
if you are not taking vitamins make sure to take them. multi vits are good but make sure you are getting enough D and Calcium. When you take an iron supplement do not mix it with any other vitamin except C.
An active young woman should not go lower than 1500 and even that may be too low for you. When I was in my 20s and active I needed 2500 a day to keep going and lose weight. It was unreal. I miss those days. My metabolism has changed and slowed as I have aged and now 1200-1500 is all I can handle. 1800 if i'm exercising.
check out some websites like fitday or daily plate for ideas.
this is not a diet this is a lifestyle change that will benefit your whole family.
